teacher training north east england

Happy New Year

January 8, 2015

So it is the first week back in January and it is scary to realise that half of my teacher training year is already over! In five short months I will have hopefully passed the course and be looking forward to starting in a teaching post in September. It is amazing how quickly the time has gone so far and I know it will feel like no time at all until my second placement starts in February.

I know that the next few months will probably be the hardest work I will have ever done and I look forward to getting into it.

This week we are attending a reflective practitioner conference at Durham University as part of our PGCE, and out of this we will be expected to write two 5000 word essays surrounding teaching and learning. These are going to keep me busy for the next few weeks until placement two starts, just incase I should get bored!

The next thing on my agenda will be applying for teaching posts for next year and hopefully the next time I write one of these I will have positive news on that front...
