North East Learning Trust

Our lead school, The Academy at Shotton Hall, is the founding school of the North East Learning Trust, a successful multi-academy trust made up of four primary schools and seven secondary schools (including four sixth forms).

What does this mean for you?

Being part of a trust has it's advantages for a trainee at North East SCITT (formerly Shotton Hall SCITT) as it means you will be first to find out about jobs in our trust schools. 21% of our trainee teachers got a job at one of our trust schools in 2020 and, since the trust is expanding, this number is likely to increase this year.

In addition, as an Early Career Teacher (ECT) within our trust, you will be fully supported during your first year of teaching with high-quality mentoring and bespoke CPD packages.

Why work for a trust?

Working for a trust means you are part of a much larger organisation where opportunities to progress in your career are common.
