How to apply for teacher training

Applications are open for our primary and secondary teacher training course places starting in September 2024. Applications are submitted through the Department for Education teacher training portal.

We want ambitious new or recent graduates or careers changers with a degree who are passionate and enthusiastic about their subject and have the desire to share this with young people of all abilities.

North East SCITT (formerly Shotton Hall SCITT) is committed to ensuring that applicants are supported in fair access to our recruitment and selection process.
